RIMU DK is a sumptuous, hard wearing luxurious yarn, part of Zealana's PERFORMA SERIES blends. Its unique makeup of 60% fine New Zealand Merino and 40% Brushtail Possum fibre make it the perfect choice for winter garments.
Possum yarn is a luxurious, eco-friendly fibre known for being incredibly warm, lightweight and soft.
Fun fact: It is the third warmest fur in the world (after polar bear and arctic fox), with a hollow core that traps air for exceptional insulation. It is 55% warmer than Merino and 35% warmer than Cashmere. Primarily blended with merino or silk, it is highly durable, pill-resistant, and sustainable, helping control invasive pests in New Zealand.
